We're currently recruiting for an experienced excavator/ forklift operators required for an immediate start for the new year in 2017 with a reputable company in a secure on-going role (casual) in Wacol for a metal recycling company.

Client Details

Our client is currently expanding their team based in their Wacol manufacturing/ recycling facility. They have a vacancy for an experienced excavator/ forklift operator to join them. The work environment is easy going, with a strong emphasis on their employees and a clear focus on safety.

Description

The position will see you completing tasks, however not limited to:

  • Operating the excavator in a safe manner
  • Operating the forklift in a safe manner
  • Unloading trucks with product
  • Moving product into stock pile with grab / magnet attachment
  • Meeting daily and weekly load estimations
  • Using excavator attachment (shear) to cut product
  • General labouring duties
  • Working with a team
  • There may be some travel to other Queensland sites if requried
  • Taking directive from leading hand/ supervisor to complete various tasks

For this role, you will be required to provide a current licence (LE) or recognised competency for RIIMPO320D with proven experience and a current (LF) Forklift licence

Profile

What you will bring to the table:

  • Prior operator experience operating the safe use an excavator & forklift
  • Flexible to work shift work - as some overtime may be available.
  • Good attitude, reliable, and safety focused
  • Teamwork skills
  • You'll require a reasonable level of fitness in order to undertake this role, as it does see variety and you are trained to assist with the unloading and manufacturing of the product.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake a mandatory Pre-Employment Medical including a Physical and Drug & Alcohol test.

We are seeking experienced and reliable candidates who are immediately available to start.

Prior experience in a recycling plant would be advantageous but not a necessity
