Adecco NZ signs new NZOC Athlete Career Programme

Adecco New Zealand successfully re-introduced the NZOC Athlete Career Programme (ACP).

After a three-year break, Adecco New Zealand successfully re-introduced the NZOC Athlete Career Programme (ACP).

"Adecco is delighted to partner with the NZOC, supporting athletes to make the difficult transition from sport to the world of work. It's a unique opportunity for us to use our expertise to assist those who have dedicated so much to New Zealand".
Mike Davis, MD Adecco Group NZ.

"The simple statement ‘high performance athletes for high performance companies’ is now central to all of our communication.
In the past, the understandable lack of practical and technical work experience of our dedicated athletes has been a barrier to employment.
So, as with our day-to-day recruitment, we are encouraging companies to take into account the athlete’s personal attributes such as focus, discipline, passion, ‘coachability’, team spirit and so on.
We have also been creative in encouraging companies to be ‘athlete-friendly’- suggesting internships, work-shadowing experiences and the like, as well as permanent employment."

Jo Gorman, General Manager, Marketing & Strategy NZ.

"New Zealand launched our Athlete Career Programme, which was an outstanding success. Australia is looking forward to replicating this great initiative."
Jeff Doyle, CEO Adecco Group Australia and New Zealand
